MADISON, N.J. (March 18, 2017) – The powerful Drew University men's tennis team raised its record to 8-1 by sweeping Rutgers University-Camden , 9-0, in a non-conference match here Saturday.

Freshman
Khoa Ly (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) had the closest loss, dropping a 7-5, 6-0 decision at sixth singles against the Rangers' Chris Thompson. At fifth singles, Raptor junior
Jake Collette-Nippins (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) lost a 6-1, 6-1 decision. Ly and Collette-Nippins lost, 8-0, at third doubles.
Seniors
Anthony Gendin (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) and
Ryan Christopher (Washington Township, NJ/Washington Township) lost identical 6-0, 6-1 decisions at first and second singles, respectively. They also lost at second doubles, 8-0.
Freshmen
Jair Norman (Sicklerville, NJ/Williamstown) and
Jason Mehta (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township) teamed at first doubles, losing an 8-3 decision. Norman was defeated at third singles, 6-0, 6-2, while Mehta dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision at fourth singles.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action Saturday, March 25, with an 11 a.m. match at Penn State-A bington.
