Camden, NJ (March 29, 2018) – Despite outshooting their opponents, the Rutgers University-Camden women's lacrosse team could not find the back of the net when they hosted the Neumann Knights in a non-conference matchup this afternoon. The Knights outlasted the Scarlet Raptors by a final score of 15-2.
Senior midfielder
Nicole Martin (Delran, NJ, Delran) scored both the opening and the closing goals of the entire game, but it was what happened between those goals that secured the win for the Knights.
Martin fired home her 12
th goal of the year inside 2 minutes of the opening draw, and Neumann didn't tie the game until the 6:45 mark. The Knights secured a halftime lead of 8-1.
Martin's second goal of the game closed the scoring for both teams on the day, as she took a pass from senior attack
Natalie DiCarlo (Sicklerville, NJ, Gloucester Catholic) and slotted home her 13
th goal of the season. Rutgers-Camden outshot Neumann 27-24 on the day, but it was the 20 saves the Knights' goalkeeper made that kept the Scarlet Raptors off the scoreboard.

Sarah Boucot (Sicklerville, NJ, Paul VI) and sophomore defender
Kacie Walton (Columbus, NJ, Northern Burlington) led the team with 4 ground balls each.
Walton also led the team in caused turnovers with 4.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Caitlyn Snyder (Somerdale, NJ, Sterling) registered the loss in the cage for the Scarlet Raptors, as she made 2 saves on the day. Freshman goalkeeper
Brittany Watson (Millville, NJ, Millville) stopped 4 of the 14 shots she faced on goal.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action next Wednesday, April 4 when they host non-conference opponent Manhattanville College for a 4pm start.
