Purchase, NY (April 7, 2018) – On a long road trip to Purchase College this Saturday afternoon, the Rutgers University-Camden women's lacrosse team dropped a tough non-conference matchup versus the Panthers by a final score of 14-8. The Scarlet Raptors drop to 2-4 on the season, while Purchase stays unblemished at 7-0.
Despite opening the scoring just 1:22 into the game through an unassisted goal from senior attack
Natalie DiCarlo (Sicklerville, NJ, Gloucester Catholic), Rutgers-Camden conceded 3 goals in a span of 10 minutes. The Scarlet Raptors battled back from their 3-1 deficit to regain the lead at 4-3, fueled by 2 more
DiCarlo goals, as well as a tally by senior midfielder

DiCarlo would add her fourth of the game late in the first half, as the Panthers led at halftime 7-5.
Four goals by the Panthers in the opening 10 minutes of the second half put the game out of reach for the Raptors, as goals from senior midfielder
Nicole Curry (Maple Shade, NJ, Camden Catholic),
DiCarlo and
Mayer rounded out the scoring in the second half. All of those goals came unassisted in the run of play.
Both teams were tied on the afternoon with 27 shots, as the Raptors led in ground balls 18-16. Purchase had the edge in draw controls at 12-8.
