CAMDEN, N.J. (Dec. 8, 2021) – The Rowan University men's basketball team went on an early 15-point run to take the lead for good and raced past Rutgers University-Camden, 95-64, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night.
Rowan improves to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the NJAC, while Rutgers-Camden falls to 0-9 and 0-4.
Rowan has won nine of its last 10 games against Rutgers-Camden and leads the all-time series, 98-33.
The Scarlet Raptors had the hot hands to begin the game, notching three-pointers from sophomore guard

Andrew Walker to take a quick 6-0 lead. Their last lead, at 11-10, came on a jumper by sophomore forward
Jordan Carter.
Rowan rattled off the next 15 points, taking the lead for good at 12-11 on a layup by sophomore guard Marcellus Ross. Before the run ended, the Profs held a 25-11 lead on their way to a 43-21 halftime advantage. Rowan led by as many as 33 points (91-58) in the second half.
Former Scarlet Raptor Arian Azemi, a senior guard, had a big double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds for the Profs. Ross and junior guard D'Andre Vilmar both scored 14 points, while senior guard Connor Dickerson added 12.
Rowan shot 35-for-86 (40.7 percent) from the floor, including 11-for-41 (26.8) from three-point range. Rutgers-Camden was 20-for-61 (32.8) and 11-for-33 (33.3).
Both teams had 52 rebounds, but the Scarlet Raptors committed 35 turnovers to Rowan's 15.

Devin Williams led the Raptors with 14 points, while Walker netted 13 and sophomore guard
Jaelin Keels added 12. Williams and sophomore forward
Tristan Cornish notched seven rebounds apiece.
The Scarlet Raptors close out the month of December with an 8 p.m. NJAC game at Rutgers-Newark on Saturday.
