Pitts captured NJAC Second Team honors for the second time in her career after a terrific senior season in which she led the team in scoring (18.7 ppg) and rebounding (6.7 rpg), finished second in assists (40) and blocked shots (7) and tied for second in steals (38). During the Scarlet Raptors' season, she reached the 1,000-point milestone in her career, notched two double-doubles and set a career high with 36 points against John Jay on Nov. 12. That total passed her previous career high of 32, set against Ramapo College on Feb. 16, 2022.
She passed the 1,000-point barrier on Jan. 28 when she scored a game-high 27 points at Rutgers-Newark.
She was named the Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on Nov. 14, Nov. 21, Dec. 5, Dec. 19 and Jan. 30 this season. Over the course of her career, she was a nine-time Raptor of the Week.
A four-year Rutgers-Camden star, Pitts also earned NJAC Second Team honors as a sophomore during the 2020-21 season and captured NJAC Honorable Mention as a junior in 2021-22. She also was named the NJAC Rookie of the Week on Feb. 3, 2020.
Pitts played in 74 games, starting 73, during her Rutgers-Camden career, and would have had more contests if the 2020-21 season hadn't been limited to only six games due to the pandemic. She finished with 1,114 career points (13th on the program's all-time list) and 528 rebounds (12th). Among all Rutgers-Camden players with more than 750 points and 450 rebounds for her career, she ranks 12th in scoring average (15.1 ppg) and 13th in rebounding average (7.1 rpg).
Pitts also added 129 career assists (22nd) and 122 steals (23rd).
Over her career, Pitts compiled 10 double-doubles, including this season against Rutgers-Newark Dec. 10 (28 points, 11 rebounds) and Stockton Jan. 25 (19 points, 10 rebounds). She also missed two other double-doubles by finishing games with nine rebounds.
Pitts scored in double figures in 24 of her 25 games this season, including nine times with 20 or more points.
A Dean's List student as well, the Nursing major has been a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll for six of her full seven semesters on campus, including the 2022 Fall semester. She also is a two-time NJAC Academic Honorable Mention, earning that recognition for both the 2020-21 and 2021-22 scholastic years. The NJAC will name its all-academic team in June for the 2022-23 scholastic year.
