CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 25, 2025) – On a night where the Rutgers University-Camden men's soccer team celebrated its nine departing seniors, the Scarlet Raptors wrapped up the New Jersey Athletic Conference regular season here Wednesday night with a 1-1 tie against 17th-ranked Montclair State University.
The result helped the Red Hawks clinch the NJAC regular-season title and head into the upcoming conference playoffs as the top seed with a 12-1-5 overall record and a 5-1-3 NJAC mark. They earned a first-round bye and host a semifinal game on Wednesday.

Rutgers-Camden finished the regular season with a 7-7-4 overall record and a 4-3-2 NJAC mark. The Scarlet Raptors earned the fifth seed in the upcoming playoffs and will play a quarterfinal game at fourth-seeded The College of New Jersey Saturday at 7 p.m. All

Rutgers-Camden lost at TCNJ, 2-0, on October 15 and has gone 0-8-4 in Ewing since its last victory at TCNJ, 2-1, on Sept. 24, 2003.
Prior to Wednesday's game, the Raptors celebrated Senior Night for
Jordan Brickner, Evan Isenbarger, Joseph Lodise, Tommy Monaghan, Jason Stearn, Ethan Steinbiss, Eric Swen, Brandon Valeri and
Grant Williams.
In a tight, intense game against Montclair State, neither team scored from the run of play: both teams notched their goals on penalty kicks. Montclair State was awarded a penalty kick when it was ruled a clearing attempt by the Raptors fouled a Red Hawk player just inside the top of the box. Sophomore defender Sebastian Lapczynski scored on the PK at 59:27.
Rutgers-Camden evened the score following a handball in the box at 87:04. Senior midfielder
Brandon Valeri converted the game-tying penalty kick.
Both teams had scoring chances throughout the game, but both defenses were equal to the task. Montclair State held advantages of 14-11 in shots and 10-5 in corner kicks.
