Immaculata, PA – Immaculata University handed Rutgers-Camden women's lacrosse team a loss in their season opener. 
 
The Scarlet Raptors were tied 4-4 at the half, but the Mighty Macs outscored Rutgers-Camden 9-4 in the second period. The 13-8 victory over the Scarlet Raptors is the Mighty Macs first win of the year.

Sophomore Cecilia Gross led the team with five goals and five draw controls. Natalie DiCarlo scored two goals, three ground balls, and a draw control. Brigette Forte had the remaining goal for Rutgers-Camden. Midfielder Sarah Boucot grabbed four ground balls and caused four turnovers.

The Scarlet Raptors (0-1, NJAC 0-0) will travel to Elizabethtown College on Saturday, March 7^th at 1 p.m.
