SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Penn. (Oct. 1, 2016) – Freshman
Danielle Lemma (Haddon Township, NJ/Haddon Township) captured her third straight collegiate singles win to account for the only Rutgers-Camden victory as the Scarlet Raptors dropped a non-conference match at Lycoming College, 8-1, here Saturday.
The match was held at the indoor West Branch Tennis Club.
The loss drops the Scarlet Raptors to 0-5, while the Warriors improve to 7-2.
Lemma improved her collegiate singles record to 3-2 with a 6-0, 6-4 win at second singles. She is 2-1 at second singles and 1-1 at third singles in her brief collegiate career.
Freshman
Annalise Kipp (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) dropped a close 6-4, 7-5 decision at first singles, while sophomore
Ashley Flores (Camden, NJ/Moorestown Friends) and senior
Millie Kipp (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) lost 6-0, 6-0 matches at third and fourth singles, respectively. Freshman
Trinh Nguyen (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) lost a 6-0, 6-1 decision at fifth singles and sophomore
Bryana Foxx-Parham (Richmond, VA/Armstrong) lost at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Lycoming swept all three doubles matches, taking an 8-2 decision against
Annalise Kipp and Lemma at the first doubles spot, and posting 8-0 wins over
Millie Kipp and Flores at second doubles and Nguyen and Foxx-Parham at third doubles.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action on Sunday, when it visits William Paterson University for a 1 p.m. New Jersey Athletic Conference match.
