CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 11, 2016) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's soccer team played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw against The College of Brockport here Sunday afternoon to finish second at the 16th annual Cialella Soccer Classic.
New Jersey Athletic Conference rival Kean University won the title with wins both Saturday and Sunday. The Cougars earned a 4-0 win over Farmingdale State College on Sunday to go 2-0 for the event, which was named for former Rutgers-Camden student-athlete, coach and athletic director Dr. Ed Cialella.

Rutgers-Camden went 1-0-1 in the two-day tournament, while Brockport finished third (0-1-1) and Farmingdale (0-2) was last.
By virtue of its championship, Kean placed four players on the all-tournament team, including Offensive MVP Kenny Rocha and Defensive MVP Mateo Castro Arias. The Cougars also placed Phil Lopes and Brad Watkins on the tournament team.
Rutgers-Camden had three all-tourney players for its second-place finish: junior forward/back
Aaron Muse (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley), senior back
Mike Naylor (Pine Hill, NJ/Overbrook) and junior back
Steve Karakitsios (Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek).
Brockport and Farmingdale State each had two all-tournament players. The Golden Eagles from Brockport placed Justin Mercer and David LaPietra on the team, while Farmingdale State's Rams honored Tobi Ojuade and Wilson Martinez.
Rutgers-Camden (2-0-2) returns to action Wednesday with a 7 p.m. non-conference game at Cabrini College.

Rutgers-Camden scored the game's opening goal in the opening half when Karakitsios assisted on the first career goal by freshman
Patrick Grudnik (South Brunswick, NJ/South Brunswick). Karakitsios, who had a goal and two assists in the two-day tournament, chipped the ball into the box from the left side and Grudnik headed it home near the right post in the 31st minute.
Brockport tied the game in the 60th minute when LaPietra scored near the left post, converting a loose ball in the box.
Camden held a 19-14 edge in shots and a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Golden Eagles (0-3-1) saw keeper Ryan Cassidy make six saves and had three back saves. Raptor sophomore keeper

Kean 4, Farmingdale State 0
Frustrated for most of the first half, despite outshooting the Rams, 21-2, the Cougars took a 1-0 lead into the break and then collected three second-half goals. Mateo Castro Arias notched the only goal Kean needed at 34:55 when the Cougars had a restart directly outside of the penalty box. He fired a shot to the top left-center of the net for the lone score in a half totally dominated by the Cougars.
Kean added second-half goals by Sev Kherlopian and Rocha (assisted by Castro Arias) before completing its win with an own goal. The Cougars finished with a resounding 31-3 advantage in shots and a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
Lucas Mallia made 14 saves for the 1-4 Rams, while Watkins didn't need to make any saves to earn the shutout for the 5-1 Cougars.
