The hot shooting hand of Bobcat sophomore guard Victoria Diggs (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) and the Raptors' inability to salt the game away from the foul line, however, ended up costing Rutgers-Camden. Frostburg State fought back to take an 83-79 decision in overtime to claim the championship of its own tournament.

Rutgers-Camden, which had defeated Frostburg State in last season's Jim Crowley Tournament title game, suffered its first loss of the season and fell to 2-1.

The Raptors held their largest lead, 72-67, with 19 seconds remaining, but Diggs sliced that to a 72-70 margin with a three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining. After Raptor junior guard Gabby Greene (Howell, NJ/Howell) hit one of two foul shots with eight seconds remaining, Diggs drilled a clutch trey three seconds later to knot the game at 73-73 and send it into overtime.

Rutgers-Camden hit only four of eight foul shots in the final 30 seconds of regulation, enabling the Bobcats to rally for the tie. The Raptors shot 18-for-30 from the line in the game.

After Rutgers-Camden scored the first point of overtime on a foul shot by sophomore guard Fatimah Williams (Camden, NJ/Timber Creek), the Bobcats tied the game at 74-74 on a free throw. They took the lead for good, 76-74, with 2:27 remaining on a layup by senior guard/forward Adjowa Pinkrah (Olney, MD/Colonel Zadok Magruder). Layups by senior guard Sharyce Warren (Upper Marlboro, MD/Frederick Douglass) and Pinkrah followed, giving Frostburg State an 80-74 lead with 36 seconds remaining in overtime. Greene sliced the deficit in half with a layup and foul shot with 30 seconds remaining and added two foul shots to make it an 80-79 game with 19 seconds left. Warren, however, followed with a pair of foul shots with 13 seconds left and the Bobcats added a late foul shot for the final margin.

Senior forward/center Michelle Obasi (Camden, NJ/Camden Catholic) paced the Scarlet Raptors with 23 points and 11 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season and the 12th of her career. The scoring output lifted her over 900 career points to 907, while she hiked her career rebounds to 612.

Obasi, pictured above with tourney namesake and former Frostburg State coaching legend Jim Crawley, joined Frostburg's Warren and Diggs on the all-tournament team. Diggs was named the tourney MVP.

Greene finished with 22 points and six assists, while senior guard/forward Cara Racobaldo (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) collected 15 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and a game-high seven steals. Junior guard/forward Ariel Robinson (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) collected 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Williams added nine points.

Warren finished with a game-high 27 points for the Bobcats, while Diggs scored 21 and notched a game-high 10 assists. Pinkrah tallied 12 points and junior guard Megan Kelly (Mt. Airy, MD/Linganore) added 10.
