CAMDEN, N.J. (Feb. 19, 2021) – The Stockton University men's basketball team scored 10 straight points over a 2:45 span midway through the first half to take the lead for good and went on to defeat Rutgers University-Camden, 82-50, here Friday night.
The Ospreys improve to 2-3 overall and in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, while the Scarlet Raptors fall to 0-5 and 0-5. The victory extended Stockton's winning streak to 25 straight games against Rutgers-Camden and increased its lead in the all-time series to 79-8.
Trailing, 10-8, the Raptors received a three-pointer from sophomore guard/forward
Jaymes Savage to grab their lone lead of the night at 11-10. The Ospreys countered with their own trey by senior forward Tariq Baker to regain the lead and spark a 10-point run. Baker scored the first five points of that run.
By halftime, the Ospreys held a 36-24 lead and they increased it to as many as 34 points (79-45) late in the game.
Baker and senior guard Luciano Lubrano paced three Ospreys in double figures, scoring 13 points apiece. Sophomore guard Milo De Los Santos added 10 points. Sophomore guard Rynell Lawrence had a game-high 10 rebounds as Stockton held a 42-24 advantage off the boards.
Rutgers-Camden received 14 points from freshman guard

Jaelin Keels added 11.
Savage paced the Scarlet Raptors with six rebounds, while sophomore guard
Tyree Mann-Barnes collected a game-high five assists.
Stockton shot 31-for-58 (53.4 percent) from the floor, including 11-for-23 (47.8) from three-point range. Rutgers-Camden was 19-for-49 (38.8) from the floor, including 9-for-29 (31.0) from beyond the arc.
Rutgers-Camden returns to NJAC play Saturday for the back end of its home-and-home series with the Ospreys. The game will be held at 4 p.m. at Stockton University.
