CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 10, 2021) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team collected 36 kills on the way to a three-set sweep over Immaculata University here Friday.
The Scarlet Raptors won by scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-16 as they raised their record to 4-1 for the first time since 2010, when the team got off to its best start ever with a 5-1 mark.
Sophomore
Kaliyah Moss paced the attack with 12 kills and a .526 hitting percentage, while adding five aces, five digs and three blocks (one solo, two assisted). Sophomore
Isabella Choice added seven kills and hit .312, while sophomores
Erica Nebrich and
Dyamond Free both had five kills.
Senior
Brinn Hassan notched 27 assists, while adding seven service aces and seven digs.
Senior
Morgan Fox led the Raptors with 12 digs, while senior
Delaney Kolb added seven. Fox and Nebrich both added two aces.
For the Mighty Macs (1-2), sophomore Isabella Ridgell led the team with eight kills, three aces and seven digs.
The Scarlet Raptors travel to Hackettstown Saturday for a tri-match at Centenary University. Rutgers-Camden plays the host team at 11 a.m. and faces King's College (Pennsylvania) at 1 p.m.
