The Cougars rode the two-hit shutout pitching of senior Heather Clevenger in the opening game. Clevenger (12-1) allowed only a two-out double in the third inning to freshman right fielder Emily Dubiago and a single to Musarra in the sixth inning that followed her lone walk of the game, to Dubiago. Clevenger struck out three.

Kean scored all the runs it needed in a four-run second inning, all charged to Raptor sophomore starter Natalie Ampole (2-3). She allowed two hits, three walks and four earned runs.

The Cougars sent 10 batters to the plate in the second inning, which featured a hit batsman, three walks and two hits. The big hit was a two-run double by senior right fielder Paige Metz.

Kean ended the game in the sixth inning by the eight-run rule, scoring four times off freshman reliever Lindsey Rodzon, who worked 4.2 innings, allowing five hits, four walks and four earned runs. The Cougars collected a walk, four hits and a sacrifice fly in the inning.

Kean's seven-hit attack included two hits apiece by Metz and freshman second baseman Eliza Filus. Metz had three RBIs.

Scarlet Raptor junior Rachel White pitched a fine game, but was victimized by five unearned runs in the loss. White (1-6) allowed seven hits and four walks, while striking out five.

Junior Annabella Marino (12-5) collected the win, working six innings and allowing 10 hits, two walks and three earned runs. She struck out four. With the Scarlet Raptors threatening in the seventh inning with runners at second and third with no outs, Clevenger relieved Marino and earned her first save with a pair of strikeouts and a game-ending fly out.

A walk, a hit batsman and an error led to an unearned run in the first inning for the Cougars, delivered on a sacrifice fly by sophomore third baseman Karly Messina.

The Cougars added two runs in the second inning on a two-run RBI double by Metz, then tacked on an unearned run in the third and three unearned runs in the fourth.

Rutgers-Camden scored a run in the bottom of the first inning on singles by Musarra and Schauer and a sacrifice fly by shortstop Meg Gray. Trailing, 7-1, the Raptors added two more runs in the sixth. Sophomore first baseman Zoe Rodriguez and freshman third baseman Luci Hutchinson both singled. Sophomore Mya Bocchicchio ran for Hutchinson and her speed paid off when she scored from first base on a two-run double by White.

In the top of the seventh the Raptors threatened after a leadoff walk to junior second baseman Cate Petrucelli. Schauer ended her fine four-year career with a booming double off the left-center field fence, putting two runners in scoring position before Clevenger came in to earn the save.

Petrucelli, Musarra and Schauer had two hits apiece for the Scarlet Raptors. In addition to Schauer ending her career with a double, Musarra made a spectacular diving catch in center field in the last defensive play of her career. By going 3-for-7 in her final doubleheader, Musarra ended the season with a team-leading .385 batting average and hiked her career average from .300 to .304.
