Women:
GALLOWAY, N.J.  – Sophomore Millie Kipp (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) finished 14th of 87 runners and posted her personal best time in a 6K race as she led Rutgers University-Camden to a fifth-place finish at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championships here Saturday.

Kipp toured the course in 23:52.39 on the rainy, cold day to break her previous 6K best of 24:09.8 set at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals on Nov. 16, 2013. She posted the highest finish by a Rutgers-Camden woman in the NJAC Championships since Robin England finished third in 2010.

The Scarlet Raptors finished fifth of seven teams with 154 points. The championship was won by The College of New Jersey (30), with Rowan (54) finishing second. The Profs' Christin Bettis was the individual winner in a time of 22:33.05.

Junior Tori Gerstenacker (Howell, NJ/Howell), running in her first race of the year following the conclusion of her women's soccer season, also set her 6K personal best while finishing third on the Scarlet Raptors and 49th overall. She posted a clocking of 26:10.57, beating her mark of 26:29.6 set at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals on Nov. 10, 2012.

Not only did that time beat her previous best of 35:54, set at the Jack St. Clair meet Oct. 11, but it shaved nearly five minutes off her first collegiate 6K time (38:35.94 at the NJAIAW Championships Sept. 20).
