MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 14, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's golf team won its first outing of the spring season as it competed against four other full teams at the Myrtle Beach Shootout Wednesday. The event was held at the Par 71, 6,350-yard Fazio Course at the Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Three of the schools, including Rutgers-Camden, also had a B Team compete in the event, while Marywood fielded only a pair of individuals. One of them, Mike Thomas, was the overall medalist with a 74.
The Rutgers-Camden A Team shot a 320 to finish first, edging Dickinson College by one stroke. Gettysburg College finished third (324) and Stevenson University was fifth (335). The Rutgers-Camden B Team finished fifth (340), followed by the B teams from Gettysburg (359) and Dickinson (385).

Richard Stolz (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford), above left, who carded a 78 on the cold, windy day. Sophomore

Cory Meyer (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown) both shot a 79, while sophomore
Brandon Wons (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) finished with an 84 and sophomore
Dylan Willey (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) shot a 92.
Freshman
Jaden Bell (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee), above right, led the Raptors' B Team with a 78, while freshman
Lucas Kunkel (Washington Township, NJ/Washington Township) carded an 80. Sophomore
Dan Malloy (Cookstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) and senior
Sean Sanchirico (Haddon Township, NJ/Paul VI) both finished with a 91 and freshman
Chris Colman (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) shot a 105.
The Raptors also played a pair of juniors as individuals, with
Colton Cardea (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) shooting a 94 and
Robert Narducci (Bellmawr, NJ/Triton Regional) carding a 97.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Monday when they play in the Jefferson University Invitational, which will be held at The ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, Penn.
