CAMDEN, New Jersey (April 27, 2017) – Rutgers University-Camden paced out to an early lead in the opening 15 minutes versus Gwynedd Mercy University today, as the Scarlet Raptors never looked back to secure a non-conference victory over the Griffins by a final score of 21-10.
In their final home contest of the season, the Scarlet Raptors celebrated Senior Day to honor their only departing player, defender
Victoria Heifet (Cherry Hill, NJ, Cherry Hill West).
Heifet, who has started all 15 games this year for Rutgers-Camden, leads the team in draw controls with 44, and ranks 4
th on the team in both ground balls (34) and caused turnovers (19).

The Scarlet Raptors' early lead in the first half was slowly chopped away by the Griffins, as it was cut in half to 8-4 with just over 8 minutes remaining.
